Introduction

Sterling Lanka Apparel Group of Companies was established in Sri Lanka in 1992 through it’s 1st garment manufacturing factory, A.J.S. Apparel (Pvt.) Ltd. To enhance the business opportunities within the Sri Lanka Group, we had our major expansion in 2004, and restructured as Sterling Lanka Apparel Group of Companies, belonging to the Sterling Products Ltd., Hong Kong.

Sterling Lanka Apparel Group has been steadfast in it’s focus on social responsibility in every facet of it’s business with respect to it’s employees, the communities within which it operates. The Group has maintained high standards of ethical behavior abiding by ILO labour requirements in it’s facilities. All facilities of the Group have obtained the Environmental Protection License. The Group also ensures that all it’s manufacturing facilities adhere to stringent safety standards, and provide employees with free meals, medical facilities etc.

Because of the accuracy and repeatability advantages of our processes, our merchandisers and the Brand’s Technical Designer can discuss and approve sample by comparing real Sample photos and Technical sketches. Communication using Visualization tools allows Technical Designer to have more control on his/her creation.

Effective Communication through Digital Imagery

“A Picture is worth a thousand words”, as they say, and digital imagery saves you time and money providing quicker response times, fewer wrong samples and better quality control.

With product development and production increasingly moving overseas, it has become increasingly difficult to communicate effectively. Our in-house systems provide a unique platform and communications standard that cuts through the limitations of language, allowing you to:

• Replace flat photos on spec sheets with 3D pictures that indicate intended fit and look of garment
• Send sample photos to brand for approval before sending actual garment, saving valuable time and additional costs
• Discuss product alterations on the picture, instead of describing changes via email
• Provide quality control with images of the final approved product fitted to the mannequin
